Ideas forever

Concepts and visual application across whatever you dream up.

Tired of seeing mediocre, fluffy, money-wasting, ill-considered work with no strategy? We’re looking for someone (or possibly a team, at least mid-weight) to join us and help us turn clients around through creative, strategic ideas. We’re ambitious about what we can achieve and are looking for someone to come and help demonstrate the power of conceptual thinking with us.

We need folk on our team who are innovative thinkers and doers; people who can inspire and provoke… as well as expertly make.

If you relish problem solving and making exciting things, of all shapes and sizes, to help clients succeed long-term, it’d be worth a chat.

Right now it’s an exciting time here, as we look to build and shape our future. To help us do that, as well as the soul-searching stuff above, we need someone who can do all this:

Responsibilities:

As Art Director, your main responsibility is the thinking of, creation and delivery of a range of cross-platform ideas. Your work, in conjunction with planning, is central to what we do. You’ll be making … well what you make depends on what you think up really. Conventional ATL campaigns do happen – but we’re more focused on brand building and innovative ideas (Come and speak to us for some insights into recent work we can’t talk about here yet).

Requirements:

  • Creating groundbreaking multidimensional ideas that take up where planning left off
  • Creating visually and conceptually effective and creative campaigns that can successfully work across a range of media, e.g. digital, print, outdoor, PR and social media
  • Having a good understanding of customers, briefs, client objectives, creative techniques and type to achieve the best visual result for the campaign
  • Owning your ideas while commissioning and illustrators/photographers/animators etc
  • Computer skills and being proficient in the use of relevant creative software, i.e. Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Working with a writer when necessary to produce a rounded, exciting piece of work that blows socks and shoes and verrucas off
  • Being a ‘creative ambassador’ for the business
  • Being able to work independently and as part of a team
  • A love of ideas. A passion for brands. A hunger to make a difference.

If this sounds something like you, we’d love to talk. Ping us a folio, or something more interesting, to adam.smith@thegateworldwide.com or use the form below.
